Senior Frontend Engineer

About the Role

The frontend of the Drusus platform is, in many respects, the product. The platform serves an audience of analytical professionals whose tolerance for visual or interactive imprecision is low. This role exists because the seriousness of the interface materially determines whether the user trusts the analysis behind it. The successful candidate will own substantial portions of the platform's frontend codebase and will set the engineering standard for the role as the team grows.

Responsibilities

• Lead substantial portions of the Drusus platform frontend in Next.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS.
• Own the performance, accessibility, and visual integrity of the interface across the supported breakpoints.
• Collaborate closely with the product designer on the interface as both an aesthetic and an analytical instrument.
• Contribute to the engineering of the Gravenos corporate site, including the editorial sections and the data-driven pages.
• Mentor junior engineers as the team grows; participate in hiring and technical interviewing.

What We Are Looking For

• Five or more years of professional frontend engineering experience, with substantial Next.js or comparable React framework work.
• Strong TypeScript proficiency; comfortable with the strict typing posture the codebase maintains.
• Experience with Tailwind CSS or a comparable utility-first styling system.
• A genuine concern for visual and interactive precision; an eye for the difference between adequate and excellent.
• Capability to communicate analytical and technical reasoning clearly in writing.

Helpful but Not Required

• Experience building financial or data-intensive interfaces.
• Familiarity with data visualisation libraries (Recharts, Chart.js, D3).
• Prior work in a small team where the engineering scope was broader than purely frontend.
